# Why does Cheffy keep cutting out?

## Cheffy cuts out or pauses when he detects background noise to make sure he doesn't miss any instructions; you can minimize noise, use the Mute Mic button, or switch to the chat feature.

1. **Detecting Background Noise** 
     - Cheffy wants to make sure he doesn't miss any instructions. When he detects background noise, he automatically stops to listen.
2. **Minimizing Noise & Using Mute** 
     - Try to minimize your background noise as much as possible. If your kitchen gets loud, you can hit the **Mute Mic** button (the Cheffy avatar will turn grey when your mic is on mute).
3. **Responding via Chat** 
     - Just let Cheffy do the talking, and respond using the Chat feature when your microphone is muted.
